Located in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Visalia rests in the middle of the most fertile farmland in the world. Local, farm-fresh ingredients are a way of life here. Opened in 2000, Tazzaria’s menus highlight the freshest, simple local ingredients available.

James and Michelle Jessen own and operate Tazzaria. They work daily alongside a dedicated and talented staff that my as well be family. The Jessen’s share their love of food and family with everyone who walks through their doors. Many of the recipes are rooted in their family’s traditions, passed on from Europe. From the décor to the furniture, and food, Tazzaria is truly a labor of love.

Tazzaria is a Certified Green Business- which means they are committed to sustainable business practices, sustainable food sourcing, and a recycling and compost program. Tables, equipment, building materials and even the storefront signs are all made from recycled and reclaimed materials.

James and Michelle also own Pizano’s Woodfired Pizza, The PHD, and Tazz.Coffee, which are all located on Main Street in downtown Visalia.
